Leaving SG for SYD

Arriving at Sydney to study, I soon found myself addicted to this game. I used to play it back in Singapore with regulars such as Lindsey and Seng Kar at Orchard Emerald …… gawd I miss that place …….. That was way back in early 2002. Before flying off I even went on the last day to get a few more games in while lying to my family that I was buying last minute stuff 3rd strike has become an addiction. A burden.

Fast forward to Sydney. Such a beautiful city, but cursed by the same gahment syndrome that plagued Singapore …… inept politicians. I froze my balls off when I arrived, having grown up in 30 °C temperatures. Being alone at a foreign country, I instinctly scoured for the nearest arcade accommodation and went about my usual business.

Wheeeee, here we go. First post. My name is Cody, some of you know me as Kian or Jianda. Welcome.

I’ll start documenting all my past and future adventures from both Singapore and Sydney. This blog was started because of pure boredom. However, I hope it grows into a news hub for Singaporeans and Australians who play fighting games in arcades.
